Student Led Activity - Can Drive

The Student Led-Activity is doing a Can Drive for the Humane Society shelter for animals as their Service Learning Project. So far, they have collected eight trash bags of cans and bottles in one week! The cans and bottles will go to provide food for the dogs and cats of the Humane Society. They are incredibly grateful for all the support from students and parents, and hope that people will continue to donate cans and bottles for this act of Community Service.

Revels is Back!!!!

The return of Revels, the Upper Division version of Winterfest, has shocked and excited many people! I'm pretty sure that everyone is super-excited for the night of Christmas caroling and reading of many different stories, poems, and funny skits!

Basketball Game on 12/8

On Thursday, The JV and Varsity Basketball Teams had a game against Paul Cuffee School.

Both teams came in second place, JV losing with 9-27, and Varsity losing with 28-77

The player of the game was Tucker for his well aimed-shots.

How do you think authorfest went and what were the highlights?
Well so far, I enjoyed the family night last night. Having the parents come, even though it was stormy. It was really interesting to talk with the parents. I really enjoy making conversation with them and seeing what presenters they bring in so they can see what their kids are learning.

How do you think authorfest went and what were the highlights?
I think it is going smashingly well. And I think that there are a lot of highlights meeting the community, children and parents. And I have also enjoyed talking with the different 
classes. 

AuthorFest Recap

As everybody knows, today was the Upper Division's AuthorFest presentation! Today we got the inside scoop of the life of the famous and award winning illustrator, Chris Soentpiet. This author, originally from South Korea came in today and gave a presentation.

New Student Updates!

So this week, our newly elected student council started planning for many exciting out of school activities like dances, movie nights, and spirit days! They had their first appearance at this week's morning meeting, and they have now announced the official date of the very first dance.

Well here it is!!! Ever since Mrs. Harris left last year, her blog for students was deleted. But now, as part of the school newspaper, we have created a blog out of the activity, Student Blog. Posts will usually come every Friday and maybe during the week too.
