As everybody knows, today was the Upper Division's AuthorFest presentation! Today we got the inside scoop of the life of the famous and award winning illustrator, Chris Soentpiet. This author, originally from South Korea came in today and gave a presentation.
Chris Soentpiet is the award winning illustrator who made an appearance at Friend's Academy's Authorfest this year. He came in and explained to the Upper Division Students how he illustrates his books, how long it takes, and much more! He told us of how his parents died when he was a little boy, and how he was adopted by a family in Hawaii when he was 8. He took up three students from the Upper Division : Mae Harrington, AJ Jarabek, and Abby Derego, and made them pose for different characters in a made up book.
